Termite forms and stages There are three stages in the life of termites:1. the termite egg (A) 2. the termite nymph (B) 3. the termite adult (C) The adults are of two kinds: 1. sterile 2. fertile The sterile adults of our common subterranean termites and of many other species include two forms (or castes): 1. termite soldiers 2. termite workers and the fertile or sexual termite adults include three normal forms (F to K). |
